Amanda Forsburg, member of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG) New York-Philadelphia (NYP) chapter, has been named 2020 winner of AEG’s prestigious Piteau “Distinguished Young Member” award.

Named after Douglas R. Piteau, a landslide and slope stability expert who passed away at a young age, the award annually recognizes an AEG member who has excelled in their career before the age of 35.

As NYP chapter secretary, student outreach co-chair, and manager of our ambitious 12-college Student Night, Amanda has amply demonstrated her service to the association.  And as a Senior Project Scientist and CHMM at Langan Engineering  and Environmental  Services,  she designs and manages remediation projects from site investigation through cleanup in New York City, and has already demonstrated her service to the profession.

We know Amanda appreciates AEG for the camaraderie and excellent technical content of our NYP meetings. We appreciate her for the good spirit and many positive effects of her participation in our chapter !

To Amanda we say:  Well deserved and congratulations !
