Abstract

The typical emerging contaminants are 1,4 Dioxane and Perfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS), a group of organic compounds that include PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic Acid) and PFNA (Perfluorononanic acid). They have become reality. Discoveries in unexpected areas, actual and proposed regulations, extraordinary standards (low parts per trillion), sampling and analytical and treatment technologies confusion, several projects in progress, and at least one lawsuit with close to a billion dollar settlement.

Steve and Dick will walk through the status of the various aspects noted above and introduce the advanced remediation technology (ARC) that CEC has been working on with major industrial corporations that has great promise and proof of superiority in treating waste-, ground- and drinking water.

Dick and Steve will be available after the meeting to answer any questions or discuss any current or upcoming projects.
